Qingshu and Royston

Photography: Yong How and Rachel

Qingshu and Royston's wedding is one pretty simple one. They actually did away with the commuting between the homes for tea ceremony. Instead, they held the tea ceremony at the hotel before and after the lunch banquet. They also had done away with the traditional boy opening doors and stuff. So basically, it's going through the tough gatecrash, fetching the bride and and it's off to hotel for a lunch banquet.

Qingshu is also one loud bride and she was commenting that she should had tone down during her wedding...that was after she saw some of the candid shots (not too glamourous ones) of her.

I've also taken up the challenge to do up their morning highlights in about 1.5 hours for them. It's also a challenge to make it interesting with the lesser activities in the morning. I'm glad that it still look pretty good despite the rush. :)

Here are a handful of images of their simple and nice wedding.

Qingshu's dad calling to check if Royston's on the way

Qingshu in hair curlers and watching the movements in the living room. I think she'll kill me if I post her frontal shot in this....

Hair all curled and the hairdo process continues

Royston decides not to wait downstairs and came on up to take on the challenges before everyone is ready

All cramped up in a narrow corridor for another long bargaining session. I was drenched in sweat from head to toe in just 15 minutes.

The adrenaline rush when the hair removal strip is removed

Royston fighting to keep the key to Qingshu's room

Off to hotel
Royston's grandfather slowly sipping the tea that was served by Royston

Qingshu's granny going on with her long and contagious laughter during the tea ceremony. She was really happy.

Qingshu's family laughed along

Qingshu's mum and granny feeling proud while Royston and Qingshu were served tea by their siblings
Congrats Qingshu and Royston. Stay cheerful as you are! :)

Haha, I knew that I'm asking for trouble when I took the frontal shots. But perhaps they'll just be left for your own eyes only. =p
